CUSTOMER
The customer, specialized in energy efficiency services for the industry, offers to its customers tailor-made solutions to reduce their energy consumption and environmental impact. Running 45 industrial sites in Italy, they can work on a large territorial basin directly through their subsidiaries or through the group’s network.

PROJECT
The customer has several locations on the entire Italian territory which are connected through MPLS. Each venue has a pair of firewalls in clusters where different security domains have been created. This way, savings have been achieved without compromising the safety-side. The customer works on two separate parts: manufacturing (SCADA- Supervisory Control and Data acquisition) and Office. This successful cyber-security approach contains different levels of protection distributed on laptops, networks, programs or data with the aim of keeping them safe. In a company, people, processes and technology have to complement each other to create an efficient firewall against cyber-attacks.
A unified system that can prevent from any form of threats has been implemented through a central console which monitors and controls all the security equipment. It also performs the main functions of detection, investigation and correction. The partner for this project was Fortinet.
